Alteration specialist

We are hiring an experienced Alteration Specialist to join Northeast Cleaners. You’ll handle clothing alterations and repairs, take accurate measurements, and deliver clean, high-quality finishing that customers can trust.

What you’ll do

Alter and repair garments: hemming, taking in/letting out, sleeve adjustments, zipper work, and basic repairs
Take measurements and help customers choose the right fix
Mark, pin, and finish garments with a clean, professional look
Keep work consistent and on-time, especially for deadlines
Check your work before it leaves the shop (fit, stitching, and finish)
Keep your station organized and tools in good working order

What we’re looking for

Solid alterations/tailoring experience
Strong sewing skills (machine + basic hand sewing)
Good eye for fit, balance, and clean finishing
Ability to handle multiple items while staying on schedule
Basic English communication
